Samsung NC20
The Samsung NC20 is a 12″ notebook, designed to be the perfect middle ground between small laptop and netbook. It’s got the same lightweight, easy-to-carry characteristics of the netbooks, but with a clearer, sharper, bigger screen-size. The display is excellent for watching films on, and working on it is very, very comfortable. With it’s slightly larger body, the Samsung NC20 also comes packed with a very easy-to-use, comfortable keyboard too – typing on it is easy, unlike a lot of the smaller netbooks.
The NC20 isn’t designed to be a high performance machine, but it still runs day-to-days tasks quickly and effortlessly – the 1.3 GHz VIA Nano processor is designed to be lightweight and nimble, despite it’s relatively low processor speed. While it won’t handle large processor intensive applications with ease, it’s not designed to – it’s instead designed to handle smaller everyday tasks like browsing the Internet and checking emails, although if you do ever need it for work it’s quick on it’s feet if you’re using Microsoft Office.
The NC20 is a great little machine that’s excellent value for money – it’s well built and, while it may not look quite as nice as Apple’s 13 inch MacBook, it’s not a let down in the looks department either. Fantastic value for money for a speedy netbook that’s easy to carry with you.
