HP EliteBook 6930p
The HP EliteBook 6930p is a laptop more suited to business users – it’s performance is good, it’s easy enough to carry with you and it does the job. It doesn’t look bad, but then there’s nothing particularly exciting about the EliteBook. It doesn’t look like a particularly special laptop (and in truth, it isn’t) but if you’re a business user, then it does what you want it to do and nothing more.
Capable of handling multiple tasks with no noticeable slowdown, it’s powerful 2.8 Ghz processor makes light work of processer hungry programmes but at the cost of a noticeably short battery life. Like most business laptops, for some reason they never seem to last very long before needing to be plugged in.
The screen is clear enough and easy to see even in strong lighting conditions if the brightness is turned right up, the keyboard is a good size and comfortable to type on and the trackpad is very easy to use, with the exception of the fairly stiff buttons that have a noticeable “clack” when you push down.
There’s a lot of power in the HP EliteBook so if you’re a business user that often has loads and loads of programmes running at once, this may be the thing for you. Just don’t expect to find the sleek designs of the Apple MacBook Pro or the Samsung X360.
